Nutritional support tailored to you
My mission is to educate and empower other women to take control of their own health. Making changes can be hard but having the right support and guidance can make all the difference in achieving your goals and changing your life.
If you’re wondering if nutritional support is for you, let me ask you…
Are you tired of feeling tired all the time? Never feeling refreshed or energetic, no matter how much you sleep.
Are you frustrated with feeling bloated and not knowing what is causing it? always trying to hide that pot belly that appears after meals.
Are you experiencing brain fog? or situations where you often forget people’s names that you have known for years. Lost those keys again?
Are you experiencing weight gain that you can’t shift no matter what you do?
Are you struggling to put weight on, despite how much you eat?
Do you feel like you're catching every bug going and left feeling zapped afterwards?
Are you fed up of not being listened to or getting the help that you need, to finally get to the root of the issues you are suffering from?
I know you’re doing your best, but…
What if…
your bloating was gone, and you were able to go out without worrying about a rounded pot belly and discomfort after eating
Imagine…
bouncing out of bed in the morning, feeling rested and refreshed, ready for the day, knowing you’ve had a great sleep. Imagine what that feels like!
Picture…
yourself having more energy throughout the day and being able to enjoy precious time with family and friends more
Imagine…
falling in love with food again, and discovering the power of nutrition for your health. What if your children started to love cooking and trying new foods too?
What if…
you finally found someone who wants to help you feel like you again? Who’s been in your shoes and wants to help you get to the bottom of your symptoms, so you feel more energised and healthier than you ever have before?
Visualise being healthy as your new way of life, are you ready to start putting yourself first?
Kind words from clients
“I would highly recommend Doireann for her nutritional advice and expertise, especially in terms of recognising any dietary deficits or helping alleviate ailments, which for me were bloating and symptoms of long covid. She really opened up my eyes to a wealth of yummy food choices, not only loved by me, but also by my family.”

I understand the struggles you are going through…
I have been in your shoes, and continue to be in your shoes. Health is a constant journey and has its ups and downs. I, like anyone else, will have hashimoto flare ups, where I feel exhausted, my digestive system starts acting up or my legs or body start to ache. The key is creating a healthy lifestyle that is individually tailored to you and your body, knowing how to support your body through nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits, so you feel in control of your own health.
Having been a pharmacist for almost 20 years, I have seen the struggles women have with their health. It frustrates me seeing women going through so many difficulties and not getting the help that they need and deserve. I have lost count of the amount of young women coming into the pharmacy with uncontrolled thyroid conditions, fertility issues, exhaustion, anxiety, overwhelm and depression. I have been that shoulder to cry on and feel their pain and frustration. These women, like you, just want answers and to feel heard. They want to feel normal again and stop missing out on precious time with family due to how they are feeling. They need help and they need time to figure it all out, so they can feel better and healthier again.
I know you probably feel like you have tried everything and nothing works, that you are just destined to feel like this forever, it’s just part of getting older and being a woman.
Well, I am here to tell you that there absolutely is hope and you can feel better than you ever have before. What if you had someone in your corner, to help you get to the root cause of your health concerns and create the right plan that is going to help you figure it all out?

When I take clients from struggling with life to thriving in life, there is no better feeling.
You don’t have to live with those niggling annoying symptoms every day, think of the joy that could be brought back into your life if the bloating was gone, or if those weird rashes disappeared, or you felt more energised with a better mood? All those symptoms are signs from your body that it is out of balance and needs some help.
Let me help you restore balance in your life and treat your amazing body with the respect it deserves. Ready to get started?

Meet your Nutritional Therapist
Hi, I’m Doireann Kealey
Alongside my work as a Nutritional Therapist, I am also a Biomagnetic Therapist, and a Pharmacist based in Kildare, Ireland.
Working as a pharmacist for almost 20 years has meant that I have gained invaluable experience dealing with people and their health conditions, but left me frustrated that I couldn’t give people the time they needed to get to the root cause of their health issues.
I now use my nutritional therapy training to do what I couldn’t in the pharmacy - give people the time to understand their bodies and what’s causing their symptoms, and the support they need to improve their long-term health. As a busy working mum, I know what it is like to juggle working, looking after children, cooking, cleaning and maintaining relationships, it is a balancing act. It can be overwhelming, exhausting, and stressful.

Nutritional therapy, a core component of functional medicine, is evidence-based nutrition that is individually tailored to support the client through dietary and lifestyle changes. The aim is to identify the root causes of illness or chronic health issues and restore balance and optimum health. Nutritional therapists hold a 3.5 year diploma plus a minimum of 200 hours of supervised clinical practice. A nutritional therapist who is a member of NTOI must meet and adhere to a code of practice set out by the organisers, they must also complete 30 CPD points a year.
A Nutritionist is not a protected term, therefore anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, for e.g. people who may be qualified in related professions such as the fitness industry. Many Nutritional therapists often call themselves nutritionists so when taking nutritional advice it is best to check their relevant qualifications. Both nutritional therapists and dieticians are regulated and comply with ongoing CPD and training.
A dietician uses the science of nutrition to devise eating plans for people with certain medical conditions. They are regulated health professionals that assess, diagnose, and treat dietary and nutritional problems, both for individuals and at a wider public health level.

The initial consultation lasts around 90 minutes. During this time, I will ask additional questions based on the health questionnaire that you will have completed prior to the consultation. This will give me a good understanding of your health concerns and health goals.
As part of the consultation, I will ask you about your diet, lifestyle, movement, sleep quality, bowel movements, stress, toxin exposure and general habits and behaviours. This information will give me a better understanding of the support you require and will allow me to create a highly personalised plan that suits your lifestyle and needs.
During this consultation, I will explain my clinical findings and explain what I feel may have led to your current health concerns. We will discuss and agree upon some initial dietary and lifestyle modifications that are suitable for your lifestyle. I may also recommend some specific supplements or laboratory testing. A manageable action plan with specific steps will then be emailed to you within 48 hours, along with some recipes, information handouts, supplement protocol and recommended testing (if appropriate).
Follow up consultations tend to be shorter and can last between 15 mins and 1 hour, depending on the complexity of the case and stage of protocol.

No, you do not have to do anything or agree to anything that you are not comfortable with.
My goal is to make sure you are fully included in all decisions and feel totally happy with the plan. I will make recommendations based upon my findings and clinical knowledge. If at any point you feel unsure or are not happy with how things are going we can reassess and discuss it.

All appointments are via zoom or by phone call.

No, there is no guarantee you will achieve your health goals. I provide an individually tailored plan that will be agreed upon together. It will be manageable and suit your own lifestyle but it is up to you to put in the work to create and maintain the change you are looking for.
I can only be the support and guide on your health journey, the work is up to you. Everyone is individual and one of the core components of nutritional therapy is that we work together and each put in the work to create success.
-
